Lot description

Moulded and chiselled steel: D. 2 cm, 2,2 cm, 3 cm; bases: D. x H. 4,6 x 4,1 cm, 4,8 x 4,4 cm, 5,8 cm x 5 cm; 1 matrix with engr. mark "127-7-20 M/M", white paint marks, labels with marks and identifications. Very good condition.

Nice set of matrices for buttons in three different sizes, with arms as defined in the official resolution of 30 December 1905. The labels identify these arms as those of the King of Norway, but the crown is placed directly on the shield, without an ermine mantle as is the case with the King's coat of arms. This design was adopted after the dissolution of the union with Sweden in 1905 and was used until 1937.
