Mod. quarter leather, dyed paper on covers, flat spines, endpapers renewed.
First French edition translated by Jean des Moulins and following the first edition in Latin published in 1586-1587 by J. Dalechamps (1513-1588), French botanist and physician. Numerous illustrations in-text. Containing a compilation of all the botanical knowledge of its time. Describing more than 2731 plants and much of the unique botany of the region around Lyon. Titles in red & black. Woodcut devices on titles.
