4to: [32]-655-[1] pp. (title repaired with loss of some words, clear damp stain at top, some min. worming in blank margin towards the end).
Contemp. blind-ruled calf over wood (expertly repaired & polished), boards with sm. central blind-stamped crowned double-headed eagle (upside down at front), rebacked with spine with 4 raised bands, new endpapers.
Very rare first Ghent edition (orig. Lyon 1562; reissue Ghent 1567) of the memories of the Burgundian historian Olivier de La Marche (1426-1502), dealing with the years 1435-1488. Very important source for the history of the Burgundian lands, including the Southern Netherlands. Woodcut Salenson mark at the end.
