2 pt., in 1 vol., folio: [102 (of 104)]-688, [4]-126 pp. (portrait, 2 ff. in prelims and p. 121 in 2nd part missing, sl. dampstaining in begin., marg. wormtrack or wormhole in begin., quire "a" of 2nd part sl. browned).

19th-c. half marbled sheep, marbled paper covers, gilt orn. spine with raised bands (sl. rubbed, sm. def. to spine, label torn of front cover).

Second edition (1st 1750, London) of this famous work by Usher (1581-1656), Anglican bishop of Armagh, biblical scholar and theologian. Edited by A. Lubin. The second part is a "Chronologia sacra", edited by Th. Barlow. Text within ruled border and in two columns for the chronological tables. Title printed in black and red.
