Very rare first edition of the Acts of the Conference of Carthage (411) on i.a. the original sin, by the French humanist historian Masson (1544-1611). One of the most important assemblies in the history of the Catholic Church, it was presided over by Marcellinus of Carthage, who was in favour of the orthodox party, which led to the violent suppression of the Donatists. Woodcut mark on title.
