First edition of this anthology of quotations on old age, from biblical and classical authors including Petrarca's dialogue 33 "De senectute". Compiled by Cl. Le Pelletier (1630-1711), "contrôleur général des finances"; also attributed to César d'Estrées (1628-1714).
