Engraving, 55,2 x 40,7 cm, laid paper, signed in the plate in lower margin at bottom left: "P. Paulus Rubens inuentor." and right: "Corn. Galle Sculpsit. Cum priuilegio.", with four columns of Latin text and a Latin dedication to Nicolaas Rockox by the publisher above (traces of former passe-partout on platemark, trimmed to platemark at bottom, some foxing, light brown stains at upper left, horizontal crease at centre strengthened, rubbed at upper centre).
Hinged to paper mount at upper edges. Good impression.
Large engraving of the Madonna in an architectural niche with a Latin citation from Ecclasiasticus 24:23. The print is dedicated to Nicolaas Rockox (1560-1640), mayor of Antwerp and an important patron of Rubens.
