Lot description
Folio: [20]-201 (= 202)-78-72-[1-1 bl.]-92 ff. (toned and soiled, marginally dampstained and thumbed, blank bottom corner of part-title NT torn off, single wormholes in blank bottom of final quires).
Old blind-stamped calf over wood, edges bevelled inside, gilt spine on 4 raised bands, decorative endpapers (rebacked, worn covers pasted on, clasps and catches gone). Good copy.
Delft folio ed. of a Dutch Protestant Bible translation 1st publ. Emden 1562. It is called the “Deux-Aes” trsl., after a famous marginal note to the Book of Nehemia 3:5 (here on f. 151r).
