Large obl. 4to: 30 (of 50) pl. (some fox. with some pl. more affected, a few brown marg. stains).
Contemp. quarter green leather, flat spine (corners rubbed, covers sl. stained, def. at top spine).
Neoclassical plates, each one with an Italian caption in lower margin, picturing famous or spectacular episodes of the Rome's history, based on Charles Rollin's "Istoria romana". By the Roman painter, engraver and illustrator Pinelli (1781-1835), who produced a similar album on Greek history and several other suites on the costumes and customs of Italian people.
