Lot description

12 chromolithographed paper gores on a central globe, diam. ca. 7,5 cm, in the middle of a sphere made of an iron polar axis, meridian rings, Tropical circles and the ecliptic, some painted (oxidation).

Mounted in a metal tripod, partly painted (a bit oxidated).

Unusual planetary system with central globe "Erd-globus Berlin", lithographed by Ludwig Julius Heymann. His globe factory in Berlin produced some astronomical models.
