Rare plan of the siege of Leuven by the combined Dutch and French armies, from 24 June to 4 July 1635. Gerard van Gutschoven (Leuven, 1615 - 1668), an assistant to Descartes and mathematician at the university at Leuven, dedicated the map to the Cardinal-Infante Ferdinand (1609-1641).
