Interesting war documents focused on André Boillot, "sergent de réserve au 5e régiment du Génie, Pilote à l'Escadrille n° 77" and brother of Georges Boillot (1884-1916), French Grand Prix motor racing driver and WWI fighter pilot. Composed of his military aviator's licence (1917), army citations from the Military Staff (a.o. reception of a medal "Pilote d'élite, d'une rare audace et d'un dévouement remarquable. Dans les journées des 23 et 24 août 1917, pendant une période de moins de dix-huit heures, a exécuté trois bombardements de gares ou terrains d'aviation, à une faible altitude, malgré un feu violent de l'artillerie et des mitraillettes ennemies. Trois fois cité à l'ordre" and another mentionning his pursuit of a zeppelin "malgré les dangers qui devaient en résulter pour l'attérissage dans un épais brouillard"), typed reports of missions (by Boillot on the attack of the airfield of Marimbois, pursuit of zeppelins on 20-10-1917, some by Captains L'Hermite and Mouronval etc.), "Journal de marche de l'Escadrille N. 77 concernant l'Adjudant Boillot", front page of n. 154 of "Sporting. Éditions spéciales pendant la guerre" with the photo of Boyau and Boillot "Deux As" and ms. dedication of Edward Vernon "Eddie" Rickenbacker (1890-1973), American fighter ace in WWI, etc. Also with a ms. letter written by Boillot to his parents in which he expresses his discouragement: "Quoi vous raconter après ma folle équipée. Je suis complètement navré et maintenant c'est le calme après l'orage. Découragé au possible je n'ai que devant moi la vision de tout ce que j'ai vu le 20 au matin. Je pense au zeppelin manqué et à toutes ses conséquences si j'avais réussi [...] Comme récompense on a rit [sic] de ma folle randonnée", he also regrets that Boyau didn't receive the Legion of Honour because he was too young: "A quoi sert d'être brave".
