Drawing, pen and black ink, grey wash, framing line in black ink, 11 x 16,3 cm, laid paper, unsigned.
Very fine drawing of a putto reflecting on worldly goods. A skull at the lower foreground is a reminder of our mortality. Formerly attributed to Hans Friedrich Schorer (1585-1654), a painter and etcher from Augsburg.
