Contemp. gold-tooled overl. vellum, covers with double ruled frame, corner pieces and central arabesque ornament, sm. gilt ornaments on flat spine, (later) cloth ties, sp. edges (sl. loosening). Nice copy.
Author’s presentation copy (inscribed on front endpaper) to the abbot of Park Abbey (Leuven). On front cover "Reveren[do] Patri D[omino] Fran[cisco] Vlierden Abb[ati] Par[censi]". On lower cover "Anno Domini 1584". Woodcut mark on title.
