First edition illustrated with 55 plates (7 on double pp. and 7 chromolithographs) after the author, depicting views and plans: panorama of Isfahan, the Allahverdi Khan Bridge in Isfana, the Shah Mosque, the pavillion and park Chehel Sotoun, castle of Qasr e Qajar in Teheran, etc. Also with some ill. in-text. The French P. Coste (1787-1879) was architect of the viceroy of Egypt, Mehmet Ali, he travelled in Iran with the painter Eugène Flandin as part of the French diplomatic mission in 1839-1841.
