Rare new edition, the last one appearing during the author's lifetime (1st Leiden 1606), of an extensive treatise on rhetoric by the prolific scholar G.J. Vossius (1577-1649). Woodcut mark on both titles. With the often missing engr. folding frontispiece portrait of Vossius by Crispijn van de Passe II and a laudatory poem by C. Barlaeus.
