First edition of this important topographical work on the marquisate of Antwerp by J. Le Roy (1633-1719). Engr. title by A. van Diepenbeeck, 73 (of 85) pl. outside collation (some folding and double-paged), incl. maps, town plans, castle views, tombs, etc. (of which 24 sm. printed 2 by 2 on 1 leaf) showing, i.a. Berchem (e.g. "praetorium de Berchem"), Wijnegem, Schilde, Hoboken, Hemiksem, Lier, Westmalle, Kleidaal, Tongerlo, Turnhout, Corsendonk, etc. Including many in-text illustrations, BB counts 207 pl. in total.
