4to: [16]-956-[30] pp. (endpapers lifted).

Contemp. gilt-stamped vellum, gilt arms of Gouda on covers, gilt spine with 5 raised bands titled in pencil, remains of ties (gilt fading). Very good copy.

Corrected and annotated edition by T. Dempster (1579-1625) of Rosinus' (1551-1626) work on Roman Antiquity. Engr. ill.: title, title-vign., large folding city-plan of Rome by P. Philip after Torenvliet, 5 full-page and 2 folding pl. Title in red and black.
