Tree sheep, flat spine with red leather title label (rubbed, joints part. split). Good copy.
Rare first edition of the official pharmacopoeia of the USA, compiled by the physician Lyman Spalding (1775-1821), Charles Ewer and Timothy Bedlington. It was Spalding's efforts since 1815 that led to a General Medical Convention held in Washington D.C., January 1820, and resulting in this pharmacopoeia, mainly based on the Pharmacopoeia of the Massachusetts Medical Society (1808).
