Lot description
[France?, 15th c.], large vellum bifolium, c. 32,5 x 29,5 cm. In good condition.
Fragment of what must have been an impressive calendar quire. Some saints: Petronilla (May), Gervasius & Protasius (June), "Bertini abbatis" (July), Oswald (August). Written in black/brown and red ink, decorated with large initials with penwork inside, on recto blue with red penwork, on verso red with grey penwork. Some sm. gilt initials.
