Folio: [16]-280 (= 279)-[11] ff. (marg. dampstaining in 1st and last quires, some minor soiling).
Old blindst. sheep (rubbed), bevelled edges, covers with blindstamped fleur-de-lis and lozenge-shaped ornaments within lozenge-shaped border decoration, spine on 4 raised bands. Good copy.
Early ed. of Plinys Natural History with important emendations by the Venetian surgeon Alessandro Benedetti (1450-1512). Numerous large and small decorative initials. Ref.
