Lot description
Engraving, 20,2 x 25 cm, laid paper with watermark, signed in plate "A.C." and "Iacobus Tinctoretis pixit." (trimmed to or just outside the borderline).
One of two engravings by Agostino of Tintoretto's paintings in the Palazzo Ducale, Venice. Lettered in margin with a line in Latin: "Spectator si scire cupis quid picta tabella est, Est Iovis et Maiae filius, et Charites."
