The major work of the Dutch mystic Gerlac Peterssen (Deventer 1377-1411), living in the Windesheim Congregation, the centre of the Modern Devotion. "He has been called another Kempis, and several critics have ascribed to Kempis words or theories which belong to Gerlac." (Wikipedia).
