Drawing, black and white chalk, 36,5 x 44,5 cm, brown paper, signed and signed in chalk at lower right "K. Mathilde, 1846" (some foxing).

Princess Mathilde Caroline of Bavaria (1813-1852) was the eldest daughter of Ludwig I of Bavaria. She practiced painting and drawing as an aristocratic pastime and was known by European royalty for het delicate landscape drawings.
