Copperplate, 35,5 x 25,2 cm, signed in the plate "Jac. Mercorus sc. Medial".
In mint condition.
The Swiss printmaker Giacomo Mercoli (1745-1825) was known for his ornamental prints and detailed portrait engravings such as this one of Antonio Barbiani. Mercoli (aka Mercorus) worked mostly in Habsburg Milan, for the local nobility.
