Lot description
Copperplate, 14,5 x 10,5 cm, signed with monogram in the plate at lower right "AS".
The original copperplate for one of Adamo Scultori's figures after the Sistine Chapel. Originally the 6th pl. (of 73), renumbered in a later state to 58. Adamo Scultori (fl. 1547-1587) was a member of renowned family of engravers in Mantua, connected to the courtly circles of the Gonzaga family.
