Contemp. mottled calf, spine with 6 raised bands (sm. def. at head), red leather title label, red edges. Good condition.

Collection of 44 large portraits of the dukes of Flanders from Sanderus' "Flandria Illustrata" (1735), starting with Lidericus Bucanus, the first "Woudmeester" and ending with Emperor Charles VI (1685-1740). Bound together with 39 large portraits of bishops of Ypres (14, i.a. C. Jansenius), Ghent (13, i.a. A. Triest) and Bruges (12), also from the 1735 ed. of "Flandria Illustrata".
