Lot description
Drawing, pencil and brown wash, 22 x 21,5 cm, vellum paper, signed with artist atelier stamp at lower right (black ink stain at centre).
Under passe-partout and frame (not studied outside frame).
Hélène Colin-Lefrancq was a French painter of nudes, figures and landscapes. She was a pupil of Louis Biloul and Fernand Humbert. She exhibited at the Salon of French Artists between 1911 and 1940, receiving the honorable mention in 1912 and the second medal in 1923.
Joined: Renouard, Paul - Two sketches of a dancing female figure. Drawing, pencil or black chalk, 22 x 28 cm, brown tracing paper, with atelier stamp (Lugt 2137c) (sm. defects at upper right and left corners). Under passe-partout and gilt frame (not studied outside frame). (2 pcs)
