Lot description
Albumen print, 16,5 x 22,9 cm, pasted on paper mount, printed legends on lower mount.
One of several pictures taken during a single shooting session. The poses vary from photograph to photograph depending on the slight changes in posture of the characters surrounding Mistral, or the arrival of new friends. Mistral (1830-1914), French writer of Occitan literature and lexicographer of the Provençal form of the language, is the only who seems to keep the pose. All the captions below the photograph are in Provençal.
