Brussels reissue of this work by the English-born Antwerp writer R. Verstegan (c. 1550-1640). The "Nederlantsche Antiquiteyten" was publ. from 1613 onwards in a variety of editions (1631, 1646, 1662, 1700, 1701, etc.), and uses the nation's history and its conversion by St. Willibrord as ammunition against the reformation. Engr. ills by G.
