Lot description
Drawing, pen and brown ink, 16,8 x 30,5 cm, laid paper (brown stain).
Laid down on ivory paper.
Nice view of the hamlet of Klein-Willebroek with the opposite bank in Boom. The canal was one of the oldest navigable in Europe, connecting Brussels with Willebroek where it flowed into the river Rupel. Also visible is the "Sashuis", a popular stopping place for dignitaries when transferring on the Brussels-Antwerp route.
