Lot description
Drawing, pen and watercolour on laid paper (19 x 29 cm) (sm. brown spots).
18th-c. view on a demolished castle, possibly that of Château-Gontier in Mayenne, or alternatively the Château de Mayenne itself. The ruins of the first one were still present in 1628 when, according to certain sources, Richelieu ordered its demolition; however, part of the remains still existed later on. Huchedé is a local family name in Mayenne.
