Publisher's binding after Randolph Schwabe: half beige linen, paper patterned in blue & yellow on boards, flat spine, blue woodcuts (city views) on pastedowns and flyleaves (one scratch on front cover).
Illustrated by R. Schwabe, and arranged by Cyril W. Beaumont, with a nice medallion view of Naples in colour on title, a full-page pl. depicting the "Hôtel de Nice" in Paris, and with a facsimile letter of Wilde. Mark of the Beaumont Press with the press at colophon. Title printed in gold. Edition limited to 475 copies, of which 15 not for sale, one of the 400 on hand-made paper (n. 120). The letters addressed to Robert Ross (1869-1918), Wilde's friend, lover and literary executor, were written in Naples and Paris, "after Berneval" where they spent time in 1897 after Wilde was released from prison.
