Newtown, Gregynog Press, 1938

8vo (some faint browning, spotting on first and last bl. lvs).

Half red morocco with sm. corners signed Gregynog Press Bindery, olive green paper boards with a Reynold Stone label printed in black and red on pink, spine titled in gilt and decorated with a blind floral roll.

Edition limited to 400 copies (n. 299). Illustrated with 7 wood-engravings by Reynold Stone. Reprinted from the edition of 1651, with an introduction by Henry Thomas (title).
The Gregynog Press was established in 1922 by the Misses G.E. and M.S. Davies at Gregynog, near Newtown, Montgomeryshire and was under the direction of R.A. Maynard. The Press formed the initial section of a scheme for the development of craft work; this scheme was, later on, include pottery, woodworking, weaving, etc. Smallest book ever produced at the Press.
