Brass, 48,2 x 6 x 22,2 cm.
Wooden box (50 x 8,5 x 4 cm).
Old alidade type with vanes having rectangular holes to hold a fine wire vertically in the opening. Used on a plane table, but also on the graphometer by Meurand.
