Lot description
1. "Le vray portraict de la ville de Diion". Engr., 32 x 41 cm (trimmed outside the borderline, sl. toned central folding, a few perforations). Bird's-eye view of the city with the new imposing city towers. Edouard Bredin created the view in 1574 for François de Belleforest's Parisian version of Münster's cosmography "La cosmographie universelle de tout le monde". Ref. Pastoureau I-1, [39].
