Folio (ca. 30 x 22 cm): 14 ff. numbered ij-xv (hence missing outer bifolium with f. i [title or blank?] and f. xvi = final text leaf), on paper, in Latin, expertly written, with at the bottom of each page ‘Ita est Jo(hann)es de Loemel). In good condition.
Early copy of the detailed testament, full of biographical data, dealing with i.a. "Loemel" (Lommel), "De Huberto nepote", "De fratre", "De domo Standonck" (Standonck College, Leuven), "De sorore", "Asscha" (Asse), "Merchtenis" (Merchtem), "Monasteriu[m] Auerbodien[se]" (Averbode) and other religious institutions, "De argenteis meis" (finance), "De libris" (his library, f. 14r, with legal books for his nephew and religious books for Standonck College).
Joined: 12 manuscript documents, Leuven 1623-1709, relating to Standonck College or to scholarships founded by J.H. van Loemel. I. a. "Transport voerden twee [...] Legenten inden Rechten deser Uniuersiteijt Louven [...] to distribueren dertig Carolus guldens [...]" (1623, 4 pp.) and "Cum sint orte difficultates [...]" (1 p.) on a dispute relating to Leuven University and St Peter’s Church, dated 17 February 1653 and signed by, a.o., Libertus Fromondus and Petrus Gudelinus.
