Lot description

Nice mug decorated with five putti wearing flowers, fruits and foliage. The Brussels painter Wageneer (1819-1890) is known to have been inspired by mythological, Biblical and historical subjects. He worked for Héliodore Stevens, who succeeded his father Mathieu in 1843 and was active until 1866. Very few pieces from this manufactury have been preserved.
