Lot description

Paris-New York, Demotte (G. Kadar Press), 1922-1923

Folio; 100 pl.

Loose under yellow publ. cloth in Solander case with cloth ties, gilt-titled. Excellent condition.

First edition of an exceptionally complete set of 100 beautiful drawings in facsimile (reproducing the exact color of the originals) made in heliography, executed by Ruckert Goode & Chevassu Succ. and mounted on strong Bristol cardboard. The preface and the explanatory pages are signed by the French painter and engraver Rivière (1864-1951). The colophon bears the date 15 October 1924. Printed in 5 issues of 20 pl. in 250 numb. copies (ours is n. 70).
