8to: [131] ff. (last bl. lacking, occ. foxing).
19th-c. dark blue shagreen, covers decorated with a large gilt dentelle, gilt orn. spine with raised bands, gilt edges, gilt inside dentelles, a.e.g. (corners and joints sl. rubbed). Very nice copy.
5th and last issue by de Tournes (1st ed.: 1553), with a new title border (arabesques on black background, pilcrow between title and bibliographic address) and ill. with 247 mid-page woodcuts attributed to Bernard Salomon. Mottos in italics, printer's mark on f. Q3v "Art en son Dieu", central floral ornament with arabesques on f. [Q3v].
