Hand-coloured mezzotint, 54 x 40 cm, signed at lower left.
Under gilt frame (not studies outside frame).
Hand-coloured plate IV, showing and numbering the muscles of the human body, from Gautier Dagoty's "Cours complet d'anatomie", published in 1773, which served as the best illustrated manual for generations of French doctors to come.
