Old vellum, spine titled in ink with raised bands (upper part of spine lacking, flyleaves dampstained).

Latin trsl. by Guarino da Verona and Gregorio Tifernate edited by the Rhineland reformer Conrad Heresbach (1496-1576). The translation by the same was first published in 1523. Illustrated with a woodcut border on title (orn. portico), sm. ornamental initials and some other large ones depicting children, some friezes and printer's mark on title and verso of last leaf.
