First German edition (first Latin, Innsbruck, 1592) of the annals of the major events in the history of Austria and the Habsburg dynasty 950-1555 compiled by the Dutch musician, poet, historian and librarian in the service of Archduke Ferdinand II (1529-1595), Gerard de Roo (d. 1590). De Roo died suddenly before the publication, but Conrad Dietz, secretary to Ferdinand, had the work printed by Hans Baur at the Archduke's expense. Ca. 400 woodcuts in texto of emperors, kings, counts, etc. together with their coats of arms. Woodcut printer's device at the end. Title in red & black, woodcut coat of arms on verso. Printed in gothic type.
