Illustrated with 6 fold. plates by Cornelis Galle: a frontispiece (a personification of Time revealing a painting showing a skeleton), a portrait of Henrietta Maria of France and 4 plates figuring humility examples from lives of ancient rulers (Philip II of Macedon, Saladin, Hadrian and the meeting of Diogenes and Alexander).
