24mo: 443-[5 bl.] pp. (sl. toned, some faint dampstaining).

Contemp. vellum, flat spine titled in ink. Very good copy.

Only ed. of the collected Latin poetry (including the famous paraphrases of Psalms) of the Scottish Neo-Latin poet Arthur Johnston (1579-1641), rector of King’s College Aberdeen and editor of the "Delitiae poetarum Scotorum" (1637). Engraved title with portrait.

Prov. Name on front flyleaf "J.G. Smolderen", Antwerp politician and collector (library sold 1855).
