Folio: [12]-251-[1 bl.], [8]-187-[1 bl.], [8]-48-[20]-1 bl.] pp. (some marginal dampstains).
Contemp. vellum (upper corners def.), flat spine.
Third Leiden edition, but with the title mentioning Antwerp and first folio edition of the collected works of Tacitus with commentaries and notes by Justus Lipsius. The first Lipsius ed. of Tacitus was publ. in 1574 by Plantin, but this ed. uses new manuscripts found in Spain and Germany, now lost, and an incunable of Venice ca. 1470. With the genealogical table of the first Roman emperors (printed for the 1589 ed. of Lipsius' "Ad Annales Cor. Taciti liber commentarius", but apparently sold separately to be bound with former ed.).
