Contemp. Italian red morocco richly and finely gilt ornamented, covers decorated with a geometrical pattern bordered and divided with shaped black morocco on-lays, each compartments on a semé of pointillés or flamettes with on the sides "éventails", large blazon in the center of the pattern (arms hidden by a thin piece of red morocco), all framed with fillets and roll-stamps, flat spine divided with black morocco on-lays, gilt edges, tabs of vellum (one painted) (repairs to spine and joints, wormholes, lower cover sl. rubbed). Very nice binding.

Illustrated with 1 engr. title, 17 full-page engr., 16 ornamented borders, 10 ill. in text and 1 vignette on title. Printed in red and black, in 2 col. With musical notations.
