Drawing, graphite pencil, 17 x 26,5 cm, paper, monogrammed and dated 1903 (? illegible), ms. note on verso "mère" [mother].
Van Strydonck (Norway 1861-1937 Brussels) was J.-Fr. Portaels' pupil at the Académie royale des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. In 1883, he became one of the founding members of the secessionist group "Les XX" and later one of the creators of the Luminist style.
