Album commemorating the events surrounding the funeral of the Belgian queen, Louise of Orléans, married to Leopold I, who died of tuberculosis at the former Royal palace of Ostend on 11 October 1850. The text describes her life, the church services at Laeken and at St. Michael and St. Gudula and the senatorial deputation of November 25 bringing condolences to the King. Complete with 12 engravings, including the Queen's portrait lithographed by Schubert, her funeral crest in chromolithography, and 9 lithographs featuring her last moments, the royal funeral chariot, the funeral procession from Ostend to Laeken, the Mass in the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula, and the burial in the crypt of the Church of Our Lady of Laeken built in her memory. The last pl. is a steel engr. featuring the catafalque by Provot after Leon Suys.
