Contemp. gilt polished calf, covers with triple gilt ruled border, richly gilt spine with 5 raised bands, gilt sides, a.e.g., gilt inside dentelles, marbled endpapers, front joint starting to split). Nice copy.
Catalogue of the extensive collection of (historical) manuscripts owned by the French historian E. Baluze (1630-1718), i.a. librarian of Colbert (1619-1683), sold in Paris from 8 May 1719 onwards. The 3rd part of the auction catalogue of his collection, complete in itself, with parts 1-2 containing the printed books. This famous manuscript collection was bought "en bloc" by the French Royal Library (now BnF).
